Can we just give a nod to the guy who plays the Emperor? I’ve watched this show through at least twice now and he’s so brilliant in portraying the characters development and by the end he kind of makes you hate and pity the emperor all at once excellent actor.

这剧最荒谬的就是为了把废后捧成皇帝至爱的一朵白莲花，硬是踩低了乾隆白月光和其他宠妃......整个剧就是拧把逻辑，乾隆把本剧坏人--富察皇后、令妃、淑嘉皇贵妃、慧贤皇贵妃等都合葬裕陵，唯独全剧唯一好人---废后连个墓地都不配有...好拧把的剧本！

если бы дамы гарема пожертвовали свои украшения возможно и хватило бы на армию, а так куча бесполезных украшений (никакой практической пользы, лишь красивый внешний вид) и порушенная судьба сестры императора во многих сериалах про старые времена есть ситуации где "голод, война, разруха... нужно заключить позорный мирный договор с врагом", при этом королевская семья вся в золоте 👍 п.с. кто то скажет "денег все равно бы не хватило", но в сериях не однократно делали акцент на том какие дорогие подарки делает своему гарему император

When the Emperor told her that he would wait for her she respectfully told him that their love was over. what they had in the beginning, starting in their youth was now gone forever. By her referencing the poem she was telling him that there is a timing to everything in life including their love and happiness which would never return. So much hurt and disappointment happened between them that it washed away any love they once had and although he still loved her she could not return that love. She respected him as the emperor but her heart was no longer his. She died with no regrets he however mourned her passing for the rest of his life. He realized much too late that she loved him purely without any pretense. 😔
